The promise of a Bermuda evening on a cold February night was persuasion enough to ensure a star studded turnout for Bermuda Tourisms ‘new Bermuda Party’ at the Royal Horticultural Halls.

The party, hosted in association with The Haven Trust Charity attracted capacity numbers 600+. Fisher Productions created a slice of Island Life in which partygoers rubbed shoulders with VIP’s including Jemima French, Skin, Sadie Frost and her young boyfriend Jackson Scott.
Fisher’s objective was to re-launch Bermuda as a hip destination for young, stylish, “in-the-know” Londoners. Having already thrown a similar party for the Bermuda Department of Tourism, in New York, our client wished us to produce an equally spectacular ‘style’ party in London. With headlining act, Grace Jones, confirmed and Trevor Nelson lined up to DJ, a great night of entertainment was guaranteed, all that was left was for Fisher to create the fitting environment.
A 20ft high white drape, back lit in blue, softened the existing architecture enhancing the island theme. The décor was achieved largely through the use of video projections and lighting. A “virtual” swimming pool, complete with moving water and a swimmer, was projected onto the center of the floor space and a massive scrim depicting alternating, moving video of underwater images served as the main back drop for the event.
Install commenced 36 hours prior to guests arriving and Lindley Hall was a hive of activity as the venue took shape with the introduction of staging, lighting, video and sound.
Sun loungers, deckchairs, striped towels and tropical florals set the scene in which speedo’s 70th anniversary swim wear range were showcased. Guest’s taste buds didn’t escape the Bermuda theme as they were tantalized with superb canapés such as jerk chicken served in banana leaf cones, chocolate risotto and prickly pear sorbet all washed down with Bermuda’s most famous local cocktail, the Rum Swizzle and lashings of Ginger Beer.
