| Fisher delivers Universal Fun for all the Family! |

The event was a family fun day for the employees of Universal, their families, and invited special guests.
|
|
Ranelagh Gardens was chosen as the venue because of its location, capacity and versatility offering both inside and outside space.
Our creative team were rather spoilt with regards to the theme as Universal came armed with 3 great theme ideas. Namely, their 3 blockbuster hits for this summer; Shrek 2, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and Thunderbirds. The gardens were divided into three separate areas based on each theme, thus allowing for tailored activities to suit everyone, young and old.
Guests entered through a flurry of bubbles, setting the tone for the magical day ahead. Everyone was greeted with Shrek ears, disposable cameras and ponchos to prepare them for all eventualities. A themed signpost directed guests to the different areas. Bridget Jones for Wine Bars and Beauty Treatments, Shrek swamp for magical story telling and creative crafts and Tracey Island for extreme sports and guest appearances by some of the films characters.
Thunderbirds was activity central. Guests showed their competitive streak playing human table football, beach volleyball and pulsar while many developed new skills on the surf simulator and climbing wall. Tremendous sand castles were built on Tracey Island and guests enjoyed cocktails and ice creams from the beach bar. The presence of Fab 1, Fab 8, Lady P and Parker provided some great photo opportunities.
Shrek 2, came to life in the swamp where the loveable Ogre (courtesy of Dreamworks) welcomed guests of all ages. Kids were whisked off into a world of make believe as they dressed up and played with knights and fairy princesses. Creative fingers decorated gingerbread men and masks while budding film critics had hours of fun in the mini drive in.
Bridget Jones proved the perfect area in which to offer a little pampering for the parents. In the sanctuary of the beauty salon, manicures and massages erased the stresses of the outside world. A bouncy castle and giant games kept children amused while adults lounged on deckchairs and giant cushions. A Karaoke bar completed the Bridget Jones experience where Justin and Beyonce wanabee’s took to the stage to sing their hearts out.
…and the end result…perhaps the most telling of comments came from someone who had not been there, “Next year I wouldn’t miss it. Everyone has said what a phenomenal day it was…”
