A large software company approached Fisher to assist them in producing a Gala dinner in honour of their employee’s accomplishments.

The tone of the evening was set by the grandeur of the Royal Courts of Justice, a few Gargoyles on plinths, and the hundreds of gothic candelabras that lit the room. Fisher’s designer was inspired by the large historical portraits hung in the Royal Courts and how similar they are to ones you might find in a grand stately home. She worked closely with our client to visualize the look and feel of the event. Her concepts brought the venue and theme to life while keeping in mind practical construction restrictions. To capture the feeling of a grand old home, we used lush red velvet drapes, tall gilded iron candelabras, hurricane lamps, old books, antique furniture and miles of ivy.
Fishers staging department was faced with the structural challenge of building multiple ornate gilded picture frames that served as a backdrop for the stage area. Each frame varied in size form 2 to 4 meters tall. Our large warehouse facilities ensured the concept could be built in house receiving creative guidance from our designer throughout – right up until it went to site.
We used creative lighting to set the tone of the event, which was crucial for such a large venue. Our specialist lighting created various moods, added movement and drama during the awards and enhanced the stunning architectural features of the Royal Courts of Justice.
Overall the effects were stunning and our client was delighted with the final result.
