Pirelli launch their 2007 calendar
The 2007 calendar was designed and shot by double act Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin; a husband and wife team, they worked together to produce a very introspective, simple but intimate calendar with five celebrated Hollywood actresses. Lou Doillon and the iconic Sophia Loren both travelled to London to attend the event.
The day began with an international press conference at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane. Fisher designed and produced a stage set and supplied plenty of camera rostrums for the thirty-five camera crews that attended. We also provided simultaneous translation of the launch into four languages.

Fisher Production's logistics team worked very closely with Pirelli to provide airport transfers for all of the VIPs and guests. Security was very important for this event and Fisher coordinated a team to work alongside the Pirelli Security team.

To mark the official launch of the calendar, a Gala Dinner hosted by Tania Bryer, was held at Battersea Event Arena. This structure provided Fisher with a blank canvas large enough to comfortably fit the 720 guests for the evening. Having the space to play with enabled us to create several different areas, each with a very different look and feel.

On arrival the guests and VIPs entered through a bright airy reception area, this led on to the drinks reception, a contemporary and stylish environment created with black and white furniture and fabric drops to break up the space.

Once dinner was called guests entered via two long tunnels into the dining area – a much more traditional space decorated with dark red shot silk table cloths, silver charger plates and beautiful red flower displays with striking candelabra centre pieces. The focus of the dining room was the stage, a very glamorous and striking centrepiece with a double staircase. Two large screens flanked the stage showing a live feed of the event. During dinner background music was played by the stylish string quartet ‘Dirty Pretty Strings’.

The evening was closed by a spectacular high energy and vibrant dance routine. Post performance guests continued the evening in the chic ‘Calendar Club’, a circular after dinner bar situated in the centre of the structure and which up until this point had been concealed from the guests. A DJ entertained them until the small hours of the morning.
