Given a build time of a day prior to the event, and from 08.00am until 14.00pm on the day, our task was to create an absolutely stunning lighting and AV design to compliment the moonlit forest glade theme.

Our first challenge was to get all of the AV equipment into place at the same time as all of the other contractors who were trying to install their own elements. These included the installation of a forest of trees with paths running along them, thirty five tables, a dancefloor, kids play area, Bedouin tent themed chillout space, bars and two forested hills. We rose to this challenge by installing the lighting on two sixty metre runs of self climbing truss, which once rigged lifted all of the lighting equipment and two abstract triangular projection screens, complete with projectors, high above the action.
A real time image of the moon was projected on to the end wall above the dining tables to complete the moonlit glade theme. The lighting created a stunning dappled moonlight effect across the tables. Triangular screens in the bar area were used to show footage from the wedding.
The client and his bride were very moved by the surprise that awaited them inside, as we had deliberately left the lobby area quite bare, so that the guests came from a sunny day in London outside, into an enchanting moonlit forest.
