Corporate Christmas Party
Fisher were asked to create a Christmas party with more of an edge. We chose nightclub Fabric as our venue and took inspiration from David Chapelle’s cult film, Block Party; a documentary about a street party thrown in Brooklyn, with Kayne West, Mos Def and Jill Scott performing. We created three distinct areas for hip-hop, killer disco and soul, each having live performances interspersed with dj sets and jams. The set was designed and built to resemble a Brooklyn ghetto, using corrugated iron, wire fencing, graffiti and neon ‘pimp-my-ride’ wire around the building. Huge aluminium, light-filled ducts were positioned round the venue and all the interior pipe work covered with miniature, magnetised LED bulbs, to add tiny dots of cable-less lights throughout. The party rocked, the guests loved it and the client immediately booked us for the following year!
